Love to read? Looking forward to the Book Fair? Then join the Book Fair Readers! We'll spend club periods reading, learning about the Book Fair selections, writing blurbs about our favorites, and writing letters to favorite authors. This club will meet for the first club cycle only.
Do you like to write and/or illustrate stories? This club might be for you! Children Writing for Children is a project for Save the Children that allows anybody, but primarily young adults and children, to lend a hand by writing and illustrating creative stories. Save the Children sends these stories to people who would otherwise lack reading materials. Our goal is to collect 500 stories by the end of 2014 and with your help we can create a better education, more opportunity, and accelerated growth for so many children around the world."

This is the club for those who love to go outdoors to play and don't mind a little frost on the pumpkin! We'll play kickball outside with different teams every week so you get to know other girls and boys from fifth and fourth grade.

As a member of MKA GREEN, you will have the amazing opportunity to have an IMMEDIATE and POSITIVE impact on YOUR school, YOUR community and YOUR world. Now, it’s not easy being GREEN. But TOGETHER, as a club, we can DO a little to make h HUGE impact. Activities and plans are chosen by the club. Activities this fall will include worm composting, leading recycling challenges, designing and setting up a container garden, and promoting using reusable water bottles!

SDLCJr is a club that works to create a more inclusive environment at MKA. The upper school has its own SDLC Club, so this club is the junior version of that.
