Team Information
Sports are supposed to bring out the best in people. I am a firm believer that the trials a person faces during athletic competition helps them to grow and mature. It’s not always painless, but the benefits will always outweigh the drawbacks.

Derek began his teaching career at MKA in 2014 after attending Teachers College at Columbia University and Robert E. Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching mathematics and computer science, he coaches soccer and fencing, advises the yearbook, is a Strong House advisor, and is the Upper School Scheduler. He also contributes his passion for photography at several school events throughout the year.
