Prior to coming to Montclair Kimberley Academy, Nico worked at Bank of New York in West Paterson, NJ, Merrill Lynch in Jersey City, NJ, Washington School in Summit, NJ, and Link Community Charter School. As an English major and now teacher, Nico has always gravitated towards the arts, and he still satisfies that predilection both inside and outside of the classroom. He loves to read and write, and sitting in a dark, air conditioned movie theater is one of his favorite activities. Though his free time is sparse now that he has children, drawing (specifically graphite portraits) has always been a large part of his life and one that he still tries to make time for. He does have many others interests and hobbies, but he would be remiss if he did not mention that his favorite sport is boxing, so if anyone echoes his affinity for pugilism, he welcomes any conversation or debate you have. Above all else, however, his time spent outside of the classroom is largely devoted to his wife, Michelle, their twins, Maya and Matteo, and finally their Westie, Max.
