Extended Play and Enrichment

Under the direction of Amy Pacifico, the EPE Team has worked hard to build an engaging and personalized experience for your child as you choose the activities and timing that are right for your family.  Please be sure to carefully read the below information. To make scheduling more convenient for parents at the Primary School, we have decided to offer a 5:30 p.m. pick-up time. You will still be able to add thirty minutes from 5:30 - 6:00 p.m. 

 

Be sure to register for these new programs!

  • Primary School Bitty Sports Extravaganza: Come outside and participate in a jam-packed menu of sports activities with Coach Pacifico and his Upper School student assistant coaches. 
  • Other new courses at the Primary School include: The Magic of Flight, French Book Club, STEM Building Challenges, Makedo Maker Lab, Musical Theater Workshop
  • New Middle School Courses: AI Adventurers taught by Stanford, MIT, and Top University Alumni, a Cartooning Class

PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

  • After-school care is provided from the end of the school day until 6:00 p.m. each day.
  • Students will remain on their home campus: grades Pre-K to 3 at the Primary School and grades 4 to 5 at the Middle School.
  • Three sessions are offered daily where you can choose for your student(s) to participate in Stay and Play, an Enrichment Class, or Study Hall (Grades 6-8 only).
    • If you chose a class or Stay and Play for Session 2, then you must choose Stay and Play or another class for Session 1. If you do not make a selection, your student(s) will be placed in Stay and Play, and you will be charged accordingly ($15/hour).

PROGRAM DATES:

  • Spring Session will run from Monday, March 25 to Friday, May 31 and includes the week of June 3, when your child will automatically be enrolled in Stay and Play. 
    • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday registration includes a session of Stay and Play for June 3-6. Friday courses will run the full spring session. 
  • Registration for EPE Spring Session opens at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 19.
    • Registration will take place for all programs through our online portal, CampBrain. All charges will be billed through your MKA Smart Tuition account. (If you have registered for STAR Camp or EPE in the past, your same credentials can be used to access EPE registration via CampBrain.)

PRICING:

  • Stay and Play is available Monday-Friday for students in Grades Pre-K to 5 at $15/hour per student.
  • Unscheduled drop-ins will be charged at $25/hour per student, and student(s) will be placed in Stay and Play.
  • If your child(ren) is not picked up within 10 minutes of their session ending, they will be placed in Stay and Play, and you will be charged $25/hour per student.
  • Families arriving after 6:00 p.m. will be charged $25 for every 10 minutes after 6:00 p.m.

EPE Offerings for Primary School (Grades Pre-K-3): March 25 - June 6

Spring Session will run from Monday, March 25 to Friday, May 31, and includes the week of June 3, when your child will automatically be enrolled in Stay and Play.

EPE Offerings for Middle School (Grades 4-5): March 25 - June 6

Spring Session will run from Monday, March 25 to Friday, May 31, and includes the week of June 3, when your child will automatically be enrolled in Stay and Play.

Middle School Study Hall: Grades 6-8

A Supervised Study Hall is available for students in grades 6-8. Sign up one time for access to Study Hall for the year, $350. The registration fee is waived for families receiving financial aid. 

Study Hall will begin on Thursday, August 31 and runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. (students must be collected by 6:00 p.m. - late pickup fees apply after 6:00 p.m.)

All charges will be billed through your MKA Smart Tuition account. If you are still interested in signing your student(s) up for Study Hall, please contact Eileen Richardson.
