Ricco Siasoco, writer, educator, and activist spoke at the Middle School Assembly to celebrate AAPI Heritage Month and address Asian hate in our country. Ricco taught Middle School students about significant moments in Asian-Asian/American history, the Model Minority Myth, and influential Asian people such as Yuri Kochiyama, a civil rights activist. Ricco ended his presentation by encouraging everyone to speak up against racial slurs and stereotypes.
