Celebrating MKA Class of 2023 "Lifers"

On Thursday, April 27, the annual ceremony celebrating MKA’s graduating “Lifers” was held at Upper School in the Johnson Family Academic Center. Each of the 20 students from the Class of 2023 who have attended MKA since they were in Pre-K, Kindergarten, or first grade received an MKA blanket as well as a photo frame that contained a photo from their first year of school alongside their senior portrait. Advisors, teachers, administrators, parents, and students enjoyed recognizing and honoring this special MKA milestone.

Speaking at the event, MKA Board Member and parent Tina Jordan shared memories that only students who attended MKA for their entire school life would know. She concluded, “Remember to be kind. Be respectful.  Embrace change. And have a compassionate and forgiving heart. And please bear in mind one of the key components of the MKA mission: “Integrity,” which is doing the right thing when no one else is watching.  …You’ve made our community a better place, and I look forward to seeing you back at MKA for many years to come.”
