On Friday, the GSA hosted the 'Night of Noise' to help celebrate the end of Ally Week. The week included other activities like the signing of the ally pledge (by almost everyone in the school), as well as an assembly where MS teacher, Shanie Israel shared her story to the US community.

On Saturday, the GSA hosted the GSA Leadership Conference. About 45 students from a dozen schools throughout northern New Jersey came to engage in panel discussions and networking with the goal of developing leadership skills for GSA officers and exchanging ideas on how to develop and implement changes to makes schools safe and inclusive for the LGBTQ community. Workshops included topics such as making schools safe and welcoming for trans students, creative meeting ideas for GSAs, making GSAs visible in the community, and GLSEN Days of Action. Alum Andrew Farrelly (2010), one of the founding members of our GSA, was our keynote speaker. The GSA was honored to be asked by GLSEN to host the event and from the feedback that was received, it was a great success!
