Congratulations to MKA junior Griffin La Londe who secured the NJSIAA North Jersey Non-Public B Individual Championship on Tuesday, May 7. After 18 holes, Griffin was tied with Morristown Beard’s Thomas Cotter at +3 forcing a playoff to determine the individual champion at Francis Byrne Golf Course in West Orange. Griffin parred the first playoff hole to secure the title.
Head Coach Spencer Pyke praised not only Griffin’s accomplishment but his character as well. “Griffin’s NJSIAA North Jersey Non-Public B Individual Championship is a result of his dedication to the game of golf throughout his high school career. Not only is he a highly skilled golfer who is committed to his craft, but he is also a great person as well, constantly representing himself, our program, and the school in a positive manner. As a junior captain, he is the leader of our program, and we look forward to witnessing his continued success the rest of this season and next year as well." Good luck to the Cougars on the golf course!
