The MKA Department of Athletics is happy to announce that Kennedy Robinson ’16 has been named MKA’s new Head Varsity Girls' Volleyball Coach for the 2022 season. Coach Robinson will be replacing Molli Dowd who will continue to stay on the coaching staff this fall in an Assistant Coach advisory/mentor role.
MKA’s Director of Athletics Todd Smith stated, "Bringing home a former standout athlete who was instrumental in establishing the foundation of MKA’s most recent volleyball success was an opportunity we could not pass up. We look forward to another exciting chapter for MKA Volleyball. Kennedy demonstrated a clear vision for the program, a love for the game, and a high energy and enthusiasm level that she will bring to the court and bestow upon our athletes. We are thrilled to have Kennedy return to MKA this fall!"
Coach Robinson was one of the most decorated players in program history and was named a 2x Essex County "Player of the Year” in 2015 and 2016. She led the Cougars to the program's first-ever Essex County Volleyball Championship in 2015 and went on to play at the University of Alabama. Coach Robinson is currently coaching Boys' Volleyball at Paterson Charter School with MKA’s former Volleyball Coach Mike Tully.
Welcome home, Kennedy!
