Middle and Upper School Theater Programs Recognized at 2025 Foxy Awards

Congratulations to our Middle and Upper School performers and Fine and Performing Arts Department faculty on their well-deserved Foxy Awards this year! The Foxy Awards, also known as the Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards, recognize excellence in the production of high school and middle school plays across New Jersey. For over 15 years, the awards have celebrated excellence in theater from more than 100 participating schools.

The Middle School received a total of 12 nominations and won three awards:
Outstanding Achievement in Costume Design for a Middle School Play: Lisa K. George - A Midsummer Night’s DreamJames and the Giant Peach

Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Middle School Play: Grayson Gauvin as Bottom - A Midsummer Night’s Dream

Outstanding Achievement by an Acting Ensemble of a Middle School Play - Lisa Gunn-Becker - A Midsummer Night’s Dream

 

The Upper School received a remarkable 16 nominations and won six awards:
Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Contemporary Comedy: Audrey Solomon as Virginia - It’s Only a Play

Outstanding Acting Ensemble in a Contemporary Comedy: Nicole Hoppe - It’s Only a Play

Overall Outstanding Performance by a Recreational Actress in a Play: Audrey Solomon as Virginia - It’s Only a Play

Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Broadway Musical: Logan Zur ’24 as Morticia - The Addams Family

Outstanding Acting Ensemble in a Broadway Musical: Nicole Hoppe - The Addams Family

Overall Outstanding Performance by a Competitive Actress in a Musical: Logan Zur ’24 - The Addams Family
