Montclair Kimberley Academy is excited to announce that Naveen Ballem, M.D., F.A.C.S. ’90 has been elected as the new President of the MKA Board of Trustees.
Naveen has been a member of the MKA community since 1983, and he is currently a parent to Nikhil ’26 and Kirin ’30. Naveen has been a member of MKA’s Board for the past six years and served as a Co-Chair of the Annual Fund. He is the first alumni to serve in the role of President on the Board. Notably, Naveen supported the school as the medical advisor to the Health and Safety Committee during the pandemic.
During MKA’s Opening Meeting for all faculty and staff on August 29, Naveen shared that from the moment he arrived in sixth grade, he found an inclusive community at MKA that provided safety, a lifelong love of learning, and friendships that endure today. He looks forward to serving in his new role and continuing the collaborative work of the Board with the entire MKA community.
