MKA Junior Wins Highest Honor for New Jersey History Day Competition

MKA junior Julian Hough won the senior paper division of the New Jersey History Day competition for his paper "Vaccine Diplomacy: How the World Conquered Polio Across the Iron Curtain during the Cold War." He is advancing to the National History Day National Contest.

National History Day® is a national nonprofit educational organization that promotes the teaching and learning of history in middle and high schools around the world. The largest program is the National History Day Contest. Established in 1974, the National History Day Contest encourages more than half a million middle and high school students around the world to conduct original research on historical topics of interest. Students present projects at the local and affiliate levels. The top two projects from every category are invited to the National History Day Contest at the University of Maryland at College Park.

Congratulations on this great accomplishment and best of luck, Julian!
