MKA Recognizes Student Achievement in Ninth through Eleventh Grade for the 2024-2025 School Year

Congratulations to our outstanding Upper School students in grades nine through eleven who have been recognized with academic, athletic, and community engagement awards. We are proud to celebrate their hard work, dedication, and the remarkable accomplishments they’ve achieved throughout the 2024–2025 school year.

DEPARTMENT AND FACULTY SCHOLAR AWARDS
Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute Medal – Awarded jointly by the Math and Science Departments to a junior who shows superb performance in the study of mathematics and the sciences: Tyler Rizzo

Elizabeth O’Neil Feagley Award for Creativity – Awarded jointly by the English and Fine and Performing Arts Departments in memory of Elizabeth O’Neil Feagley to a junior for outstanding creative expression: Vicki So

Frank Brogan Memorial Award – Awarded jointly by the English and History Departments to a member of the junior class who shows a special interest and high proficiency in the art of written expression: Suzanna Elkhouri

Junior World Language Prize – Awarded to the top junior student who excels in and out of the classroom and engages in the study of language and culture with empathy and understanding: Allan Haynes, Jr.

John Rabke Memorial Award – Awarded in memory of John Rabke, teacher, advisor, coach, Department Chair, and Director of College Placement from 1970-2003 to a junior committed to community engagement and cultural Understanding: Jonah Hecht

Faculty Scholar Awards – Established by the Upper School faculty to recognize and honor students who have demonstrated exceptional intellectual curiosity by seeking knowledge for its own sake rather than for material rewards:
9th Grade – Georgia Aitken, Wyeth Fertig, Agatha Greenberg, Oliver Hejna, Daniel Slater
10th Grade – Annie Barrett, Daniel Chung, Layla Lynch, Tyler Parliman, Isaac Schwartz, Iris Shen

MacVicar Prizes – Awarded to juniors of outstanding personal character who have demonstrated qualities of leadership and good citizenship and who have made a positive contribution to the Montclair Kimberley Academy community: Nate Chou, Tyler Rizzo

Klein Awards – Recognize excellent athletes in each grade who demonstrate dedication to their studies and a positive and respectful attitude toward their teachers, coaches, and peers:
