Congratulations to our Middle and Upper School performers and Fine and Performing Arts Department faculty on their well-deserved Foxy Awards! The annual Foxy Awards, also known as the Montclair State University Theatre Night Awards, recognize outstanding performances in all aspects of middle and high school plays across New Jersey. For 15 years, the awards have celebrated excellence in theater from over 100 participating schools.
The Middle School received a remarkable 15 nominations and won three awards:
- Outstanding Stage Manager - Laila Khan (The Phantom Tollbooth)
- Outstanding Stage Combat - Rick and Colin Sordelet (Romeo and Juliet)
- Ingenuity in Direction - Lisa Gunn-Becker (Romeo and Juliet and The Phantom Tollbooth)

The Upper School has enjoyed consistent recognition over its years of participation, consistently winning at least one yearly award. This year, they received 10 nominations and secured a win for Elliot Higgins as Best Actor in a Comedy for Kong’s Night Out.
