MKA Varsity Baseball Wins the NJ Prep B State Championship
Congratulations to Head Coach Ralph Pacifico and the #3 seed MKA Varsity Baseball Team (13-6) who captured the NJ Prep B State Championship on May 16 in an incredible 3-1 win over #1 seed Rutgers Prep (14-3) at Diamond Nation in Flemington, NJ. This is the Cougars first NJ Prep State Championship since 2009.

Jack Amirata ’23 had a 1st inning home run, a RBI double in the 7th inning, and also got the win as the starting pitcher for the Cougars. John Testa ’22 came on in relief and secured the save in a tough, gritty pitching performance against one of the top teams in the state.

It was certainly a win for the ages and career win number 495 for Coach Pacifico!
