PAMKA Celebrates a Successful 2022-2023 School Year

Members of MKA's Parents' Association (PAMKA) gathered together at their Annual Meeting on Wednesday, May 10 to celebrate a very successful year of community building, engagement, and fundraising efforts.

Finishing up her first year as PAMKA President, Alison Slone thanked the PAMKA Board, members of the 2022-2023 Slate, parent volunteers, and the many members of MKA's faculty and staff for their steadfast efforts and ongoing support throughout the past year.

Head of School Nigel D. Furlonge shared an update on the state of the school and gave a heartfelt thanks to PAMKA for their hard work and dedication in everything they do for the MKA community.

PAMKA Finance VP Sybil Eng then spoke to the group to report on PAMKA's significant fundraising efforts that resulted in the organization being able to present $301,000 to the school. This gift represents a $150,000 donation to the Faculty Compensation Fund, $90,000 for the Faculty Excellence Fellowship, as well as donations to ongoing programs such as  Faculty Trust Grants and Faculty Wish Lists.
