On Friday, March 9, The Upper School participated in its annual Community Day. Students began the day in various diversity and inclusion themed workshops led by the MKA's Student Diversity Leaders. In the afternoon, the entire school community watched 13th, the 2016 American Documentary, by Ava DuVernay, that explores the intersection of race, justice and mass incarceration in the United States. After the film all students and faculty participated in discussion groups about race and the criminal justice system.
