Congratulations to the Upper School Robotics Team on an amazing start to their season! The team won all five matches at their first meet this past week. “I’m so proud of our Robotics team and all they’ve accomplished," said Upper School Systems Administrator and Co-Advisor for the Robotics team Jo-rel Wilkins. "It’s been incredibly exciting to watch them build a new culture of inclusion and collaboration. I’m optimistic about our next meet and hopeful we’ll qualify for the state tournament!” Further, Alexa Kahn ’25, one of the four senior captains on the team, shared:
I’m so proud of how our team has performed in our first meet and excited to see how much we’ll grow and improve throughout the season. I’m especially proud of how every single member has played a role in our success—our strength truly comes from our collaboration and the combined efforts of everyone on the team.
Alexa went on to share the valuable lessons of resilience that being part of the robotics team has taught her. She also encourages others not to hesitate if they are thinking about joining the team. “Robotics is such a welcoming community where you’ll have the chance to learn, problem-solve, and contribute in meaningful ways, no matter your skill level or interests,” she said. “You’ll find a place here, and you’ll surprise yourself with how much you’re capable of achieving!”
We can’t wait to see what else the team accomplishes this season. Here are a few additional meet stats:
