Extended Play and Enrichment

Registration is now open for MKA's Extended Play and Enrichment (EPE) program. Enrichment Classes are expected to fill up quickly. Please register as soon as possible to reserve your student(s) spot. 

Register for MKA's Extended Play and Enrichment Program

MKA is pleased to once again offer after-school care for your child(ren) in grades Pre-K to 8 through our Extended Play and Enrichment (EPE) program. Under the new direction of Amy Pacifico and her staff, many changes have been made to MKA's after-school programming to allow for a more engaging and personalized experience for students. PROGRAM STRUCTURE:

  • Three sessions are offered daily where you can choose for your student(s) to participate in Stay and Play, an Enrichment Class, or Study Hall (Grades 6-8 only).
    • If you chose a class or Stay and Play for Session 2, then you must choose Stay and Play or another class for Session 1. If you do not make a selection, your student(s) will be placed in Stay and Play, and you will be charged accordingly ($15/hour).

    • Registration will take place for all programs through our online portal, CampBrain.  All charges will be billed through your MKA Smart Tuition account. (If you have registered for STAR Camp in the past, your same credentials can be used to access EPE/Study Hall registration via CampBrain.)

FALL DATES:

  • A Fall Pre-Session will be available from Thursday, August 31 through Friday, September 8 where only Stay and Play will be offered.
  • Fall Session I will run from Monday, September 11 through Friday, October 27 where Enrichment Class options and Stay and Play are available.
    • Fall Session II will run from Monday, October 30 through Friday, December 22 (Registration will be made available at a later date)

PRICING:

  • Stay and Play is available Monday-Friday for students in Grades Pre-K to 5 at $15/hour per student.
    • Please note that for Fall Session 1, most Monday classes are 6 weeks (no class on 9/25) and most classes on all other days are 7 weeks. Prices are adjusted accordingly.
  • Unscheduled drop-ins will be charged at $25/hour per student, and student(s) will be placed in Stay and Play.
  • If your child(ren) is not picked up within 10 minutes of their session ending, they will be placed in Stay and Play, and you will be charged $25/hour per student.
  • Families arriving after 6:00 p.m. will be charged $25 for every 10 minutes after 6:00 p.m.

Fall 2023 Pre-Session: August 31 - September 8

From Thursday, August 31 through Friday, September 8, EPE will only offer Stay and Play (formerly known as Extended Day) for Primary and Middle School students. Families can select from the below time frames and will be charged $15/hour. 

Primary School Middle School
  • 2:30-3:30 - 1 hour
  • 2:30-4:30 - 2 hours
  • 2:30-5:30 - 3 hours
  • 2:30-6:00 - 3.5 hours
  • 3:00-4:00 - 1 hour
  • 3:00-5:00 - 2 hours
  • 3:00-6:00 - 3 hours

Fall 2023 EPE Offerings for Primary School (Grades Pre-K-3): September 11 - October 27

From Monday, September 11 through Friday, October 27, EPE will offer Stay and Play (formerly known as Extended Day) and an array of Enrichment Classes for Primary School students.

Fall 2023 EPE Offerings for Middle School (Grades 4-5): September 11 - October 27

From Monday, September 11 through Friday, October 27, EPE will offer Stay and Play (formerly known as Extended Day) and an array of Enrichment Classes for Middle School students. 

Please view the schedule and class descriptions below for each day of the week. 

**Please note that if you choose a class or Stay and Play for Session 2, then you must choose Stay and Play or another class for Session 1. If you do not make a selection, your student(s) will be placed in Stay and Play, and you will be charged accordingly ($15/hour).

Middle School Study Hall: Grades 6-8

A Supervised Study Hall is available for students in grades 6-8. Sign up one time for access to Study Hall for the year, $350. The registration fee is waived for families receiving financial aid. 

Study Hall will begin on Thursday, August 31 and runs from 3:00 p.m. to 5:45 p.m. (students must be collected by 6:00 p.m. - late pickup fees apply after 6:00 p.m.)
