Primary School

We are now focusing on the final major project of this campaign: the renovation and expansion of our Primary School campus, Brookside. Our program is currently limited by the constraints of our facilities—we are in need of dedicated spaces for performing arts and physical education, and flexible and collaborative spaces for students and faculty to meet. We face logistical challenges with food service delivery, and we need to make serious upgrades to campus safety and security. This campus will also greatly benefit from an overall aesthetic makeover to ensure that the building design reflects the incredible learning, exploration, and creativity experienced within its walls.

The Brookside renovation and expansion project will address these key issues through the following campus enhancements:

  • More Secure Entrance and Site
  • Safer Pedestrian Access to Campus
  • Improved Traffic Flow and Car-Line
  • Redesigned Parking Configuration

  • Combined Auditorium and Dining Area
  • New Kitchen and Servery
  • Redesigned Entry with Gallery and Admissions Suite
  • Outdoor Classroom Space for Kindergarten Students
  • Additional Restroom Facilities
  • Increased Parking and Expanded Car-Line

After years of careful planning, we began construction in June 2018, and are projected to complete the project in the fall of 2019. This $10 million endeavor will be funded through a variety of sources including financing and plant reserves. In addition, we will raise $2.2 million in philanthropic support from the community, of which we have $1 million committed to date.
