STAR CAMP OFFERINGS (Grades 4 - 8)
Campers will participate in sports, theater, arts, and recreational activities in both indoor and outdoor venues. Upon registering, each camper will choose seven different courses that they are most interested in. Next, we will use their selections to build a five-course schedule based on priority and availability. Each week of courses can vary based on your camper's choices.
Six, one-week sessions from 8:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
PLEASE NOTE: camp will be closed on Friday, July 3rd.
- Week 1: June 22-26
- Week 2: June 29-July 2 *No camp on Friday, July 3 (Tuition will be prorated for the week.)
- Week 3: July 6-10
- Week 4: July 13-17
- Week 5: July 20-24
- Week 6: July 27-July 31
$725 per week includes tuition, lunch, snacks, and, of course, ice pops!
Please note that Week 2 is $580 due to the July 3 holiday.
- All fees are due with course registration.
- Families with multiple campers will receive a $50 sibling discount at registration.
- Registrations received after April 1 will require a $50 registration fee.
- Refunds or credits due to illness or absence during camp will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- The camp reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to suspend or dismiss any camper if his or her conduct is detrimental to the well-being of the camp or any other camper(s). No refund or credit will be issued.

Snacks are provided for all campers each day. Each day your child will be able to choose from the following: a kid-friendly hot lunch that rotates daily, a bagel, or a grilled cheese sandwich. If you choose to send your child to camp with lunch from home, please remember that we are a nut-free camp!
We are happy to bring back Early Morning and Extended Day childcare options for families:
- Early Morning: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m. $100/week
- After Care: 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. $100/week
- After Care: 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. $200/week

OFFERINGS INCLUDE
Take aim at a real camp challenge as STAR Camp looks back to the days of Robin Hood! During the course of the week, campers will learn the basics of archery, gain accuracy, and compete in daily and weekly challenges
Create artwork using an assortment of media such as paints, markers, paper bags, cardboard, and more. Campers will be cutting, painting, gluing, drawing, and creating magnificent artwork for everyone to enjoy.
Each day will consist of skill work including throwing, catching, infield and outfield play, hitting, bunting, and base running fundamentals.
STAR Camp’s coaching staff will work on passing techniques, defensive positions, communication, rebounding and ball handling, and basketball philosophies.
Learn a short skit and perform it with your friends at the STAR Camp Showcase on Friday!
Join the challenge where teams work strategically to capture their opponent's flag and be the first to bring it back to their 'home base' without getting caught!
If you love to dance and cheer, then you’re just the camper for this class. You’ll learn dances, cheers, chants, stunts, jumps, and other fun cheering activities! Learn STAR Camp cheers to perform in the show on Fridays.
Learn to code using robots like Dot and Dash, Ozobots, Cubelets, Spheros, and more using iPad apps. Coding challenges encourage and require creativity, engineering, and design thinking!
Have fun, create, and hang out with your favorite counselors making a variety of traditional camp crafts—duct tape, friendship bracelets, fuse beads, keychains, tie-dye, lanyards, jewelry, and much, much more!
Learn the latest moves and choreograph dance routines to the latest popular songs, then perform them at STAR Camp’s Friday Show!
Learn the footwork fundamentals of all three weapons of fencing. Campers will develop self-discipline, coordination, and sportsmanship and participate in a Tournament Friday where they can test out their new skills!
Instruction will be given in throwing, catching, blocking, and other offensive and defensive skills. Fun games and skill competitions ensure a great time for all!
These traditional blacktop games are popular amongst campers and counselors alike!
It’s true, MKA has its very own Ga-ga court!
Learn swing mechanics, setup, and grip techniques from a licensed PGA professional. Equipment will be provided.
Interested in how to create digital artwork and designs? Campers' imaginations will flourish as they explore how to use the application Procreate on iPads. As they learn the various tools within the application, campers will apply various techniques to different creations throughout the week.
Dodgeball, Capture the Flag, Floor Hockey, Team Handball, and more--a different game each day as voted on by campers!
Put your architectural skills to work while creating a variety of planes, cars, trucks, spaceships, boats, and buildings using traditional legos. Fun for everyone!
Learn the basics and participate in tournaments and team play!
Work with skilled instructors to build rock-climbing expertise! MKA’s facilities provide challenges for all levels of climber, from the first-timer to the skilled veteran.
An experienced coach and collegiate players will be on hand to teach you key soccer techniques through challenging drills and fun competitions appropriate to your level of play. World Cup Day will be a highlight!
Take advantage of MKA’s newly designed weight room and equipment. Instruction will focus on total body fitness for a strong and healthy lifestyle while also improving the camper’s speed and agility.
Work with counselors to perfect your talents and then perform in the weekly show!
Learn the ins and outs of video making. Create a screenplay, shoot and direct your own short film, starring YOU! Our experienced staff will also teach you how to cut, edit, and add a soundtrack to your movies!
Balance, coordination, and strength movements are at the core of this new course. Yoga will teach campers about meditation, focus, and breathing techniques while moving through various yoga poses.
Get the latest scoop on all the news that matters. A weekly digital camp newspaper with movie and book reviews as well as human interest stories and sports reports.
Come make deals with your friends and negotiate trades between campers to swap cards. (No high value trades will be honored)
Participate in circuit training to develop students' athletic skills.
Campers will be tested and grouped according to skill level. Instruction will include stroke refinement and other water safety skills.
Performance Fridays!
Each Friday, STAR Campers registered in the performing arts classes will perform in a show. Families will receive videos or links to videos each week.
