MKA Offers A Summer of Fun for Kids of All Ages
STAR Camp celebrates 5 years of summer fun by expanding to include campers entering grades Pre-K through 8. MKA’s STAR Camp (Sports, Theatre, Arts and Recreation) offers a wide variety of athletic, artistic and fun activities led by a highly qualified staff of professional teachers and coaches and experienced camp counselors. Campers can create their own schedule based on their interests and skills or have the opportunity to try something new. Programs promote the development of skills, leadership, teamwork and self-confidence in a supportive and fun-filled atmosphere. The Junior STAR program for campers entering grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1 and 2 will be based at MKA’s Primary School Campus, 224 Orange Road, Montclair. Campers in grades 3-8 will be based at the Upper School Campus, 6 Lloyd Road, Montclair. Take advantage of MKA’s state-of-the-art facilities that include gyms, computer labs, music and art rooms, an air-conditioned theater and dining hall, indoor and outdoor pools and turfed fields. Looking for academic enrichment? The MKA Middle School is pleased to announce Summer Skills for Success, under the leadership of experienced teacher, tutor and camp director Scott Coronis, offering courses in Writing, Reading and Math for students entering grades 6 - 10. Classes will take place in the campuses's air conditioned spaces and will run for 4 hours a day, over a 6 week period (June 27 - August 5).
