The Learning Edge
From our earliest learners to seniors nearing graduation, every student is challenged and supported at the edge of their learning because at MKA, growth is both the process and the goal. Through a culture of inquiry and innovation, students are encouraged to ask bold questions, explore real-world problems, and apply their learning in creative, meaningful ways.

The following hallmark programs are integrated both inside and outside of the classroom so that each student learns to think like a researcher, feel like a writer, see themselves as a citizen of the world, and know that their well-being is paramount to the way they live and learn.
Through curiosity-driven research and problem-solving, students learn to observe closely, ask meaningful questions, and investigate multiple perspectives. Additionally, MKA’s strong writing program empowers students to communicate their discoveries with clarity, creativity, and purpose—making social and societal impact through ideas that inform, inspire, and drive change. The STEM+ mindset is a pathway for constructing new knowledge and innovating solutions to problems we are only starting to imagine. As the rapidly changing world presents new challenges, STEM+ at MKA prepares students with the practical skills and knowledge that will enable them to collaborate effectively as they adapt to meet the demands of an unwritten future.
As an essential building block of the MKA curriculum, we offer a Fine and Performing Arts program with deep, broad, and plentiful opportunities, supported by dedicated facilities on each campus and a passionate faculty who love to teach art as much as they live to create it.
We empower our students to think critically about and cultivate empathy for the world beyond our walls to gain skills necessary to be more informed, ethical, and purposeful global citizens. At MKA, global competency means empowering students to examine complex issues, appreciate diverse perspectives, and take meaningful action. Through classroom learning and real-world experiences, students grow into curious, collaborative, and compassionate global citizens.
Rooted in the belief that all students are on a personal leadership journey, Ethical Leadership at MKA fosters students’ identity development and ethical growth—and inspires and equips our students to make positive change in their communities.
Social-emotional learning (SEL) at MKA helps students build an essential foundation for academic and personal success by developing the self-awareness, empathy, and good character needed to make responsible decisions and create positive relationships with others.
Inspiring creativity and flexibility, technology at MKA is a tool to help students become innovative thinkers who are able to create in new and developmentally appropriate ways. Through our 1:1 Program, we are committed to equipping students with the technological fluency and digital citizenship necessary to inspire and sustain learning and foster ethical leadership.
Co-curricular clubs at MKA provide opportunities for students to apply theoretical concepts learned in the classroom to real-world situations, deepening their understanding and practical skills. Through a wide range of activities, these initiatives allow students to explore personal interests, connect with peers across grade levels, and develop leadership skills that complement their academic growth.
