Derek began his teaching career at MKA in 2014 after attending Teachers College at Columbia University and Robert E. Cook Honors College at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. In addition to teaching mathematics and computer science, he coaches soccer, advises the year, and is a Strong House advisor. He also contributes his passion for photography at several school events throughout the year.
