Annual Middle School Basketball Game another Huge Success
Once again, fearless MKA Middle school administrators, faculty and staff braved the courts for the 5th annual Middle School Students vs. Faculty Basketball Game for charity.
The hugely successful event raised over $7,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation (selected as the beneficiary of the evening by the Middle School student government) and in addition to seeing their teachers take on the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams, students and their parents enjoyed performances from the MKA Middle School Spirit Band, Chamber Singers and Hip Hop troupe.
“The annual basketball fundraiser is a highlight of the school year for many,” noted Head of Campus Dr. Randy Kleinman, “and the rollicking, deafening crowd was testament to what a special event it is for all of us in the MKA Middle School community.”
At the end of the evening, which saw an exciting game as the score went back and forth between the students and adults, the girls’ team snatched a last minute 85-77 victory and enabled the students to retain the coveted trophy.
