Banner Year for College Admissions at MKA
2010 is looking like a banner year for college acceptances at The Montclair Kimberley Academy. In a year that has seen the lowest ever acceptance rates at Ivy League schools, MKA seniors have been accepted at every single one, including multiple accepts at the University of Pennsylvania (6), Columbia University (5), Cornell University (5), Brown University (3) and Dartmouth College (2). In addition, accepts were given by ultra competitive institutions such as Georgetown University (6), Duke University (2), Amherst College and Williams College, as well as most competitive schools such as Washington University in St. Louis (4), Tufts University (4), Vassar College (4), and the University of Virginia (2).
MKA students also fared well with international institutions, with offers coming from Cambridge University (England), St. Andrew’s University (Scotland), McGill University (Canada) and the American University of Paris (France).
"We are so proud of our seniors,” commented Upper School Head of Campus Dr. David Flocco. “They are an exceptionally talented group, distinguished by an untiring work ethic, who thoroughly deserve the successes that they have found."
