Baseball and Softball Capture Sectional Championships!

Congratulations to Head Coaches Ralph Pacifico and John Odell and the Varsity Baseball Team and Varsity Softball Team who went on the road yesterday and captured Non-Public B North Sectional Championships.  This is the first time since 2002 that MKA has had two teams in the championships.

They will now move on to the NJSIAA Non-Public B Finals which will be played on Sunday, June 7 in Toms River, NJ.  Baseball will play St. Rose High School at 10:00 A.M. and Softball will play St. Joseph's High School, Hammonton at 10:00 A.M.

The Baseball Team (#4 seed) defeated St. Mary's of Rutherford (#2 seed) 7-3 at Don Bosco Prep in Ramsey.  The Softball Team (#4 seed) defeated Dwight Englewood (#1 seed) 3-1 at Seton Hall University in West Orange, NJ.

The teams were led by Senior pitchers and Essex County Scholar Athletes, Molly Herforth and Ryan DeMartino, who both pitched complete games to secure the victories.
