Bradley takes the House Cup!
After a year's worth of intense house competition that saw cardboard boats racing in the Upper School pool, faculty-student Jeopardy, and a Pennies Competition that collected over $500 for the Valerie Fund, the MKA Upper School participated in its first ever House Field Day on Thursday, April 23.
Finishing their classes for the day early, the entire school - dressed in their house colors - went out to Van Brunt Field and fought for points in a number of fun and exciting games. As junior Mike Leardo described, "My team really came together during the puzzle round. We were all in a huddle and really used our heads to try and win."
Going into the Field Day, Bradley and Walden were within eighty points of each other, and though Strong House won the actual Field Day, it was the Bradley Bears who won the House Cup in the end. They will celebrate their victory with a House Dinner on Tuesday night, and see their house's name engraved on the cup and their achievements recorded in school history.
