Celebrating a Successful Year for Middle School Mathletes
Throughout the 2023-2024 school year, Middle School mathletes have actively pursued math challenges and contests individually and with their classmates, in class, and beyond the walls of campus. Participation in these challenging events fosters critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and perseverance not only in the subject of math but across all disciplines.
Students in grades five through eight had the opportunity to participate in an array of different competitions under the branches of the New Jersey Math League and Math Olympiad contests, MathCounts Club and competitions, and Essex County Math League Competition. All of the math contests provide valuable mental stimulation and a love of learning for students. Middle School Mathematics Department Chair Deborah Gordon shared, “The Math Department is very proud of all the students who took part in these competitions, especially those who voluntarily participated in the AMC 8 and the ECMLC, which was invitational.”
Join us in celebrating our Middle School mathletes and their accomplishments this year!
