Enter the Kingdom of Books and see Judith Viorst at MKA
On Sunday, November 9, all are invited to Enter the Kingdom of Books at the MKA Middle School Campus, where festivities, feasting and the chance to hear iconic children's book author Judith Viorst are part of MKA's Sunday Spectacular Book Fair event.

World-renowned Viorst, author of the beloved Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good Very Bad Day (recently released as a Disney movie) will be presenting in the MKA Middle School Auditorium, 201 Valley Road, Montclair (please enter via the Brunswick Road Parking Lot entrance) at 2:00 p.m. In addition to speaking and taking questions, she will sign copies of her books that will be available for sale that day. This event is free of charge.
November 9 heralds the start of the largest Scholastic Book Fair in the country. In addition to Ms. Viorst's appearance, thousands of the latest releases in children's and adult titles will be available for sale from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. The Fair also provides a unique opportunity to order autographed books from the following celebrated authors scheduled to visit MKA later in the week: Kwame Alexander (The Crossover, He Said, She Said), Raul Colon (Draw!), Lisa Fiedler (Mouseheart), Caldecott winner Brian Floca (Locomotive), Kenneth Oppel (Airborn, the Silverwing series), Tom Lichtenheld (This is a Moose, What Are You So Grumpy About?) and Sharon Robinson (How Jackie Robinson Changed America). Autographed books make wonderful gifts so don't miss this chance to get a head start on your holiday and birthday shopping!
Adding to the day, everyone is invited to enjoy pizza and Applegate Farm ice cream sundaes, available for purchase in the Dining Hall from 11:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., and to express their creativity in the Montclair Art Museum Art Truck that will be on site from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
