Field Hockey Competition Debuts MKA's New Athletic Facility at Muenster Field

20 September 2013

Thursday, September 18 saw the official debut of MKA's enhanced Muenster Field with Varsity and JV Field Hockey games against Westfield High School, and the Varsity team marked the occasion with a resounding 7-1 victory. Thursday's games were the first of many competitions to be enjoyed at the newly renovated athletic facility located on Upper Mountain Road in Montclair.

The renovations, part of MKA's Future Forward Campaign, provide enhanced and competitive facilities to better serve the excellence and commitment of the school's coaches, players and athletic program. Upgrades at the field include artificial turf and bleachers, and the construction of a field house will follow. Muenster Field serves as a premier playing and practice facility for Middle and Upper School Field Hockey, Soccer, Lacrosse and Football Teams.

In a new initiative, the MKA community is now invited to purchase a paving stone that can be engraved with a personal message.  Stones will be placed in the main pavilion in and around the new field house and entrance to Muenster Field. Funds from the Engraved Paver Program will support MKA's Future Forward Campaign and the completion of this exciting project. For more information on purchasing pavers visit www.mka.org/pavers.
