Historic Win for MKA Football!

06 November 2010

Congratulations to the MKA Varsity Football team (5-4), led by Head Coach Lance Ramer, who capped a great week of athletics for MKA by defeating Cedar Grove 14-13 this Saturday, November 6, at home on Van Brunt Field.  The win is the first ever over Cedar Grove in the program's history!

The victory follows a week of more athletic sucesses for the school - the Boys' Varsity Soccer team who captured the SEC (Super Essex Conference) Colonial Division Championship earlier in the month, went on to defeat Morris Catholic  in the NJSIAA Non Public B State Quarterfinals in a nail-biting 7-6 penalty shoot-out and play the semi-finals at home on Van Brunt at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8.

Meanwhile, the Girls' Field Hockey team fight Stuart Country Day for the NJ Prep Field Hockey State Championship this Sunday, November 7 at Watchung Field 14 Garden Street in Montclair at 1:00 p.m
