Important News on Upcoming Hemmeter History Lectures

26 January 2015

The first part of the Hemmeter Lecture Series on Conservatism in America with guest speaker William Kristol, scheduled for Wednesday, January 28, has been cancelled due to weather.

We are hopeful that this event can be rescheduled, but in the meantime, please plan to join us at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 when guest speaker Patrick Deneen discuses "It's Hard to be a Conservative in America."

An expert on constitutional law and politics, Deneen received his undergraduate and doctoral degrees from Rutgers University. From 1995-1997 he was a Speechwriter and Special Advisor to the Director of the United States Information Agency, before working as Assistant Professor of Government at Princeton University, then as Associate Professor of Government at Georgetown University, and most recently, joining the faculty of the University of Notre Dame as the David A. Potenziani Memorial Associate Professor of Constitutional Studies two years ago. Deneen is the author and editor of several books and numerous articles and reviews and has delivered invited lectures around the world.

This event, which is open to the public and free of charge, will be held at the MKA Upper School Campus Band Room, 6 Lloyd Road, Montclair. For more information, contact David Hessler at dhessler@mka.org or call 973-842-2882.
