Jay Banks Presents Anti Bullying Assembly at MKA

04 October 2011

Educator, entertainer and national bullying expert Dr. Jay Banks recently presented his STAMP Out Bullying assembly to MKA students in grades Pre-K–3.

Banks, whose work in the field has been featured on numerous national television channels, empowers young children to be proactive in the face of bullying by encouraging them to Stay Away, Tell Someone, Avoid Bad Situations, Make Friends and Project Confidence.

This assembly is just one of many initiatives that the Primary School is undertaking this year in support of the state's recent anti-bullying legislation that affects public school districts. Other events have included a day-long training for all campus personnel – including bus drivers, kitchen staff, administrative staff and teachers, and a morning workshop for parents, both led by social emotional specialist Lauren Hyman Kaplan.
