MKA Appoints New Head Varsity Girls' Lax Coach
MKA is pleased to announce the appointment of Nathan Green as Head Varsity Girls’ Lacrosse Coach for the 2014 season. Coach Green is currently in his first year at MKA teaching in the Upper School History Department, where he has already established himself as a dynamic and effective member of the faculty.
Green brings a wealth of experience to this coaching position, both as a former varsity lacrosse player at Wesleyan University, when the team were 2006 and 2007 NCAA semifinalists, 2009 NESCAC champions and NCAA quarterfinalists, and as the former Head Lacrosse Coach at the Fay School and Assistant Varsity Lacrosse Coach at Avon Old Farms School.
Athletic Director Todd Smith notes: "Throughout his coaching career, Coach Green has done an outstanding job of working with young athletes to help them reach their potential both on and off the field. His enthusiastic approach and knowledge of the sport, together with his rapport with our students, make him an ideal candidate for the head coaching position and we are excited that he has agreed to join the MKA coaching staff."
