MKA Attends the Johns Hopkins Model United Nations Conference

On February 7 -10th, a group of 18 students from MKA attended the Johns Hopkins Model United Nations Conference in Baltimore, MD, which was attended by over 1,800 students from all over the globe. This was the first time MKA has attended this conference. Chaperoned by Upper School teachers Tom Carroll and Jamie Segraves, students represented the countries of Sweden and Columbia. While in attendence, the students researched and debated such topics as the use of drones, the economic might of OPEC and the current conflict in Mali. Lead by Head Delegates Nick Pai '13 and Tola Ebunlomo '13, all four Upper School grades were represented at the conference. Special mention goes to Rowen Diano '13 for his work in the Press Corps. Rowen wrote three articles for the JHUMUNC newsletter and was chosen to cover the midnight crisis committee.
