MKA Eighth Grader Named NJ Geographic Bee Semifinalist

Congratulations to MKA eighth grader Michael Miller who has been named a New Jersey Geographic Bee Semifinalist by the National Geographic Society.

To achieve this recognition, Michael had to first win an in-school contest and then take a national qualifiying test.  Students with the top 100 scores in each state are named Semifinalists and go on to compete against one another.  Michael will compete in the 2011 New Jersey Geographic Bee, sponsored by Google and Plum Creek, to be held at Rowan University on Friday, April 1.
