MKA Hemmeter History Lecture Presents CSI: Ancient Egypt - Forensic Anthropology 101

On Thursday, January 6, The Montclair Kimberley Academy Hemmeter History Lecture Series presents professional archaeologist Dr. Stephen R. Phillips in CSI: Ancient Egypt – Forensic Anthropology 101, a fascinating evening of detection and revelation as he uses forensic science to uncover the mysteries of the mummies.

Dr. Phillips is Research Assistant to the Curator-in-Charge of the Egyptian Section of the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology.  A specialist in the analysis of human remains, artificialmummification and natural human body preservation processes, Dr. Phillips has participated in a wide range of archaeological excavations in Jordan, France and Egypt, and is an experienced and popular speaker on the subject.

This event, which is open to the public and free of charge, is recommended for all Ancient Egypt fans, young and old, and will take place at 7:00 p.m. in The Montclair Kimberley Academy Upper School Library, 6 Lloyd Road, Montclair.  For more information, contact David Hessler at dhessler@mka.org
