MKA Middle Schoolers Receive Recognition from MVA
On behalf of the Montclair Kimberley Academy Middle School student body, eighth grader and Student Government President Charles Rilli recently accepted a plaque from the Montclair Volunteer Ambulance Unit in recognition of a $10,000 gift that the students had made to the MVA in February.
After selecting two charities to benefit from their efforts, the Middle School students (grades 4-8) fundraised through bakes sales, a coin collection and their annual Student vs. Faculty Basketball Game, and President of the MVA Board of Trustees (himself an MKA alumnus and an MKA parent) Jonathan Hirsh (l) and Chief of Emergency Medical Services James Simpson (r) visited the campus to express their gratitude.
