MKA musicians to make it to the Meadowlands

Already known for excellence in band, jazz band and strings, MKA maybe adding success in the field of rock music too.  Dubious Pastry, with band members and senior classmates Brandon Bost, Becky Hirsch, Guy Kozak and John Meyer will perform at the Meadowlands this Friday evening, May 1, as the opening act on the Passion Brand Clothing stage at the Hoodwink Festival. The same weekend, the band Sexy Heroes, with band members Chris Watts, MKA class of '04 and Gerry Griffin, MKA class of '05, will perform at the same venue for the Bamboozle Festival.

Both bands were selected based on their success in The Break Contest, a regional Battle of the Bands that drew over 160 contestants.
