MKA Parents Enjoy Captivating Conversations

This weekend saw MKA parents from all three campuses come out in force to enjoy and learn from one of the MKA Parents' Association's most popular events, Captivating Conversations, a morning of parenting workshops.

Under this year's umbrella title of "Eyes Wide Open: Raising Children in the 21st Century," six renowned experts came to campus to discuss issues ranging from "Developing Healthy Sexuality in Your Children" to "Teaching Your Kids About Money." Speakers included educator and author Dr. Logan Levkoff, financial advisor Richard P. Van Benschoten and Katherine Prudente from New York's Freedom Institute.

Acknowledging the work of the parents who organized the event, PAMKA President Lori Yanes noted: "This morning provides such a valuable service to our parent community, one of the most worthwhile in so many ways.  One of the major goals of PAMKA is to help parents feel connected to our MKA community, and not many events do that better than this one."
