MKA Presents a Jazz Bands Benefit Night

On Wednesday, April 17, the MKA Upper and Middle School Jazz Bands will perform a benefit concert for the JBJ Soul Foundation's Soul Kitchen Community Restaurant at 7:30 p.m. in the newly refurbished Middle School Dining Room.

This Jazz Night is a popular annual event for the entire MKA community and this year, Upper School Jazz Band member Ben Rapsas spearheaded a drive to have it benefit Jon Bon Jovi's Soul Kitchen in Red Bank, NJ. As he explained to parents, "As a community, we are very fortunate to have such awesome facilities and a place where everyone can have a warm meal. There are so many others that are not as privileged. The Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation recognizes the need for communities to provide a hot meal to those that struggle financially."
