MKA Presents "Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play"
The Montclair Kimberley Academy Upper School Fine and Performing Arts Department presents their spring production Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play on Thursdays, May 12 and 19 at 7:00 p.m., and Fridays and Saturdays, May 13 and 14, and May 20 and 21 at 8:00 p.m. in the Deetjen Theatre, 6 Lloyd Road, Montclair.
Spies, murder, love and other trademarks of Alfred Hitchcock come to life in the style of a 1940's radio broadcast of the master of suspense's earlier films. With The Lodger, Sabotage and The 39 Steps, Vintage Hitchcock: A Live Radio Play is a triple feature, complete with vintage commercials, that recreates a daring train chase, a serial killer's ominous presence, and a devastating explosion through the magic of live sound effects and musical underscoring.
Directed by Upper School faculty member J.C. Svec, cast members are seniors Sarah Cuneo, Chris McEwen, Dan Kwartzler and Lauren Friezo, juniors Edward Rosini and Zach Wildstein and freshmen Emma Hart and Madeline Colbert.
Tickets are $7.00 and can be obtained in advance by emailing jsvec@mka.org.
