MKA Recognized for Achievement on AP Exams

Laura Polding, MKA class of 2010 and a current freshman at Harvard University was recently named a National AP Scholar for earning an average grade of 4 or higher in eight or more AP exams.

Forty other students from the classes of 2010 and 2011 were also among the 18% of nearly 1.8 million students worldwide who performed at a sufficiently high level to also earn an AP Scholar Award.

The following 14 students from the class of 2010 were named AP Scholars with Distinction, earning an average grade of at least 3.5 on all AP exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams: Paul Arcoleo, Devon Barrett, Kevin Clark, Alexa Franco, Jerome Froelich, Taylor Hatch, Rose Koven, Sarah Moses, Marion Nammack, Margaret Phillips, Laura Polding, Jesse Schwimmer, Alexa Semonche and Kelsey Taylor.

The following 11 students from the class of 2010 were named AP Scholars with Honors, earning an average grade of at least 3.25 and grades of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams: Robert Gelberg, Joseph Mallock, Harsha Mirchandani, Zachary Opperman, Laura Placentra, Julie Reiter, Emilie Schurenberg, Erin Spain, Elana Stern, Chelsea Strickland and Rosie Wahlers.

The following 15 students from the classes of 2010 and 2011 were named AP Scholars with Distinction, earning an average grade of at least 3.5 and grades of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams:

From the class of 2010: Oyinda Adefioye, Christopher Blanz, Alexis Cassola, Abigail LaForge, Emily Olshefski, Jake Perl, Shaylin Schundler, Elizabeth Strader and Adam Zerihoun,

From the class of 2011: Sarah Cuneo, Andrew Lokker, Amar Patel, Lucia Randall, Andrew Wagner and Brandon Wahba.
