MKA Senior Named National Merit Scholar

Congratulations to MKA senior Sarah Cuneo who has been selected as the winner of a National Merit Scholarship.

From the approximately 1.5 million students who entered the 2011 National Merit Scholarship Program, about 16,000 were named Semifinalists, designated on a state representational basis, in proportion to seach state's percentage of the total of high school graduating seniors. From that pool of 16,000, Finalists had to submit a detailed scholarship application and present a record of very high academic performance to be eligible for aboput 8,400 National Merit Scholarships.

Cuneo will be attending Princeton University in the fall.
