MKA Senior Receives Prestigious Hunt Leadership Scholarship

Congratulations to MKA senior Lance Barnard, one of only 24 students from a pool of 500 selected to be the recipient of a prestigious Hunt Scholarship to Southern Methodist University.

The Hunt Leadership Scholars Program (HLSP) identifies outstanding students from all walks of life who have the potential to make a significant impact not only on the SMU community, but also on society as a whole.  The award, which covers full tuition and fees not only at the university, but also at one of their study abroad programs, allows students to combine learning and leadership and provides special forums and discussions with area leaders as well as access to the nationally-regarded Tate Lecture series.

Barnard, who has already made an impact with his website for young investors, is a founding member of the MKA Student Laptop Leadership group and recently received the Eagle Scout Award.
