MKA Seniors Garner More National Academic Recognitions
Congratulations to MKA seniors Meredith Moran, Lauren Morisseau, Lucia Randall, Alexis Richards and Brandon Wahba who were recently named Commended Students in the 2011 National Merit Competition, placing among the top 5% of more than 1.5 million students who entered the competition by taking the 2009 preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.
In addition, Alexis Richards has been named among the 1,600 outstanding Black Americans who are Semifinalists in the 2011 National Achievement Scholarship Program. Alexis is a Peer Leader, a member of the Mastersingers Chorale and a member of the Shades of Color Club and also volunteers as a mentor to autistic children.
