MKA Seniors Receive National Merit Recognition

24 September 2014

Congratulations to fourteen MKA students who have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation. Students enter the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) during their junior year.

Two seniors, Miki Peiffer and Benjamin Rapsas, have been named National Merit Scholarship Competition Semifinalists, placing among 16,000 nationwide (representing less than 1% of U.S. high school seniors), who have the opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,600 National Merit Scholarships worth approximately $33 million that will be offered next spring.

The following twelve MKA seniors have been named 2015 National Merit Scholarship Commended Scholars: Nikita Israni, Trevor Jones, Megan Massey, Heather Milke, Carrigan Miller, Michael Miller, Wyatt Noble, Alexander Pai, Payson Ruhl, Benjamin Wallach, Matthew Yacavone and William Zaubler.

In addition, senior Evin Henriquez-Groves has been recognized by the National Achievement Scholarship Program.
