MKA Strings Program to be Featured at Carnegie Hall
On Saturday, May 21 at 3:00 p.m., The Montclair Kimberley Academy Strings Program presents their annual gala, Opus 16, at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall.
Performances range from Primary School Beginning and Intermediate Ensembles through to the Upper School Orchestra, featuring work from composers as varied as Handel, Mozart, Holst and The Beatles.
Under the direction of renowned Bulgarian violinist Dimitri Hadjipetkov, the MKA Strings Program features one hundred students drawn from all three campuses, and Saturday's concert performance will also feature an MKA Middle School Choral Octet.
