MKA Students Raise Funds for Charities
Students at both the MKA Middle and Upper Schools hosted successful fundraising events over the past weekend.
On Sunday afternoon, April 27, the Middle School's Free the Children Club, led by fifth grader Nico Eiden, organized a special fundraiser at Chipotle in West Orange, where for three hours, 50% of the proceeds of orders went towards Free the Children, resulting in over $900 being raised for the charity.
Two nights earlier, the Gay-Straight Alliance Club, led by juniors Krissy Bylancik and Izzy Gerard, hosted a very successful Night of Noise student concert following the Upper School's annual Day of Silence. Performers included MKA rock bands, solo artists and the Unaccompanied Minors acappella group, and over $700 was raised for GLSEN.
